		<description>Really enjoyed this post. I agree that a diversity is typically undervalued as it is difficult to consider something less than the current optimal to be a good idea.

I think however the author overstates the multi-stable abilities of nature / evolution. Nature regularly goes through mass monoculture booms with inevitable busts. Like people&#039;s greed, animals reproduce until they can&#039;t, often because they have exhausted a fragile food or environment.</description>
